Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

Some things don't need reinventing. These are classic chocolate chip cookies baked into square bars, crisp at the edges, with just enough chew at the center to keep you going back for another piece. Each bar is studded with chocolate chips that melt into the warm, golden brown crumb, rich with real butter and not too sweet. Cut into neat squares, they're easy to share, easy to pack into a lunchbox, and very hard to leave alone. The kind of thing that disappears fast at the kitchen table, especially with kids around.
