How do I place an order?

Need your order on another date? Please email us at hello@squarecakesnyc.com before ordering. Alternate dates require at least 3-5 days notice and subject to availability.

Include the product name or link, quantity, preferred date and whether you need pickup or local delivery. You alternate-date order is confirmed only after Square Cakes approves the request and payment is completed.

Where is local delivery available?

Local delivery is offered on Saturdays to Brooklyn and nearby NYC neighborhoods, handled through our courier network (Uber and Grubhub drivers). At checkout, choose delivery and enter your address: we'll let you know right away if it's deliverable and what the fee will be. If delivery isn't available to your address, pickup is always an option.

What makes Square Cakes different?

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit cards and Apple Pay for your convenience.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Orders may be cancelled for a refund to the original payment method until Wednesday, 11:59pm, the ordering cutoff for that Saturday’s drop.

Because our cakes are baked to order and production quantities are finalized after the cutoff, cancellations, order reductions and refunds are not available after Wednesday at 11:59 p.m.

If Square Cakes must cancel an order or is unable to fulfill it, the customer will receive a full refund.

What if I need my order ready by a specific date?

Alternate pickup and local-delivery dates may be available with at least 3-5 days' notice. Please email hello@squarecakesnyc.com before ordering.

Pickup & Delivery

Do you ship outside of New York?

Under New York's cottage food law, I'm only able to sell within New York State, so all orders are limited to pickup or delivery within NY. No shipping outside the state at this time.

Where do I pick up my order?

Saturday pickup is available from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. outside the Windsor Terrace Library, located at 160 E. 5th St. at Fort Hamilton Parkway, Brooklyn, NY 11218.

Meet us near the curved concrete seating area outside the library. Pickup does not take place inside the building. Please have your name and order number ready.

Final pickup instructions and any weather-related changes will be sent by email.

How much does delivery cost?

The delivery fee is calculated automatically at checkout, based on the distance to your address and driver availability at the time, similar to how pricing works on delivery apps like Uber Eats or DoorDash. You'll see the exact fee added under your subtotal before you place your order, so there are no surprises and nothing to guess at.

When will my order arrive, and how will I know?

Orders must be placed by Wednesday at 11:59 p.m. for Saturday delivery. Once you order, you'll get:

An order confirmation text right away
A text once your driver has picked up your cake, with an estimated arrival time
A text when your cake has been delivered

Delivery windows are timed around our pickup slots, giving the driver time to collect your order and bring it to you. Times are estimates and may shift slightly with traffic or driver availability.
